First of all, you need to turn on USB Debugging mode on your phone. You can do that by navigating from Menu to Settings » Applications » Development » USB Debugging And Tap to tick it.
In the files you downloaded earlier which is in Zip format, extract the files to a particular folder and install the ADB Drivers.
When done with that, connect your Tecno Q1 phone to your computer via USB Port
After that, Install Snap Pea, launch and wait for the program to detect your phone then Unpack the Root With Restore file To Desktop.
Open the Root With Restore folder from your desktop and run the RUN.BAT program. This should open a command prompt like in the case of the image below.
